Test! Test! test!
We try to put in our best
With prepration from morning till night
To get the subject matter right
Then we come to school
Keeping ourselves cool
Then the question paper we behold
And heart anxiously wait
For the result decalartion date
We are happy if we pass
But not if we repeat the class
                                         -not by me

The rag pickers of India present a pitiable sight. It is poverty that goads them to resort rag picking. Day in and day out they may be seen on the roads, the lanes and the bylanes of a city or town looking for cast-off clothes or something else showy or shoddy that may sell. More often that not, it is children who have taken to rag picking. But some young men and women are also forced to take up the showy trade to make both ends meet. Why should innocent children who should be at school at this age do this filthy job? It is because their parents are often too poor to support them. So they neglect them and abandon them to face the cruel world on their own.

Sadly enough, she has been neglected and her virtues glossed over by the predominantly male society. To quote miss universe, 1994 SushmitaSen,“women in India have become more aware of their rights as individuals and are now opting for higher positions at work, at the same time being a perfect housewife at home. This, then, is the stage at which women have reached today- thanks to their struggle for equality and, more importantly, because of the situation we have landed   ourselves into with men at the helm of affairs. Prejudices against women occupying positions of leadership are fast disappearing and their traditional role of sex objects being rejected.
